News & Updates 8/25
Hey Local Vyntage Dudes and Dudettes! Welcome to another LV News & Updates! It’s been too long!...
Much has happened here over the last year, and there’s lots of new exciting things coming up with Summer wrapping up and Fall just around the corner. Plus, we’re starting to look ahead to the holiday season! So, let’s get into it – things you might have missed and things you can look forward to!
Over the last year we’ve launched curated t-shirt collections for four new areas: Chicago, Dallas, Washington State, and Oregon. Each includes a unique collection of new tee designs, with more to come for each in the near future!
In related news, we now offer tees relevant to all U.S. States, so we’ve updated the map (it’s a list on mobile) on our website accordingly. Now, when you use the “Choose Location” option on at localvyntage.com, you can choose your state of interest and browse memories local to you or where you grew up! With this geographic expansion, we’ve released over 40 new tee designs or colorways so far in 2025! Some of the hits so far have been Venture, Grants, and Fotomat on faded yellow.
Despite our expanded offerings, we’re still very much a small business. So, when we inevitably sell out of items, some can unfortunately remain out-of-stock for an extended period. As such, we recommend starting to think about the holiday season, gift giving, etc. early this year so you can secure the tees and hoodies you’ve had your eye on for friends and loved ones. And don’t forget about yourself, too!
Looking ahead to Fall, we’ve got a bunch of awesome new tee and hoodie designs in the works, so be sure to keep an eye out over the next few months.
Aside from all the exciting new product and area expansions, we’ve also kept up with publishing our Core Memories Unlocked! blog each month, so there’s a wide variety of interesting posts you can peruse here. For a taste of how fun and quirky it can get, in case you missed it, last month’s blog was all about urinal technology advancements over the last few decades and March’s blog was an exposé on the fake Ames comeback.
On a stuffier subject, the economic climate (i.e., inflation, tariffs) might feel a bit turbulent of late, so lots of businesses are having to be nimble and make changes to keep pace. That said, we haven’t raised our prices since January 2024, and we have no plans to anytime soon. We’re very proud to be completely U.S. based – we design, manufacture, print, warehouse, and ship our tees here in the U.S. So, while like most small businesses we’re also impacted by things like inflation, and indirectly impacted by tariffs, we’re a little better positioned to avoid passing additional costs along to our customers. This is in contrast to most other t-shirt companies, who are not made in the USA, and therefore can’t shield their customers from price hikes.
