Super soft t-shirt inspired by MACs a.k.a. Money Access Centers.
MAC, or “Money Access Center” was launched in 1979 by the Philadelphia National Bank (PNB) to compete with the GEORGE network, which was launched one year earlier by Girard Bank. PNB was able to line up support from thirteen other financial institutions at launch, capturing significantly more market share than GEORGE, to the point that locals preferred the terms "MAC machine" and "MAC card" to "ATM" or "ATM card." MAC locations quickly expanded beyond Pennsylvania, and MAC became a common term in nearby states such as New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Ohio, and even as far away as Michigan, too. Today, people might laugh at us for calling it a MAC, but we’ll always see that distinctive logo in our minds when we go to withdraw cash, so it can’t be called anything else!
50/50 cotton-poly blend. Made and printed in the USA. Velvety Local Vyntage logo on right sleeve. This t-shirt is now tag-less.
We're proud to help you share local banking memories!
Our 50/50 blend (cotton/polyester) tees are unisex/men's fit. Most customers say they run true to size.
For men we recommend their regular men's size. However, if they're between sizes, we recommend going with the larger of those two sizes.
For women we recommend one size smaller than their regular women's size, especially if they prefer the fit to be slightly more "fitted" (tighter).
Our t-shirts are premium quality, medium-weight, 50/50 blends (cotton/polyester), giving them that buttery-soft feel you’re looking for!
