Rickel home improvement stores started out in 1946 when brothers Al, Mort, and Bob Rickel started a heating business in Newark, New Jersey. A few years in, they bought a warehouse full of plumbing supplies and decided to expand their business. Since none of the brothers knew anything about plumbing, and because supplies like they had were usually sold wholesale, they decided to open one of the first do-it-yourself retail home improvement stores! At its peak, Rickel boasted over 90 stores and was the leading hardware, plumbing, heating, and electrical retailer in the areas it served. In the late 90s, a variety of factors, such as competition with Home Depot, forced Rickel to close its doors.

Our tees are unisex/men's fit. Most customers say they run true to size.
For most men we recommend their regular men's size, but if they're often between sizes we recommend going with the larger of those two sizes.
For most women we recommend one size smaller than their regular women's fit size, especially if they prefer the fit to be slightly more "fitted" (tighter).
All of our t-shirts, with the exception of the "faded yellow" color, are premium quality, medium-weight, 50/50 blends (cotton/polyester), giving them that buttery-soft feel you’re looking for!
